I’m on a mission…

I’m out to create an army of Ronin Whisperers. The Stabilized headhas disrupted the way we make motion images. The handheld Gimbal even more so and I think the DJI Ronin 2 has done it the best. If you want to learn everything you can possibly learn in a day (and there’s plenty to learn), I will teach you. My goal is for you to walk out of the class feeling comfortable with:

Prepping the Gimbal

Know how to build the camera to make balancing easy. Also, we’ll go over how to design the build to switch between the gimbal and any other setup within 60 seconds.

Balancing the Gimbal

Once you practice the steps and learn the little tricks for balancing, you’ll be doing it very quickly and efficiently.

Software of the Gimbal

Understanding how to tune the motors, set your follow settings and how to connect remote controllers are just the beginning. The nuances are many, but the reward when you know it all is a revelation. If you haven’t already done some advanced gimbal operating, a few little tricks will blow your mind.

Operating the Gimbal

We will, as a team, go over solo operating, dual operating and remote only operating. You’ll be wearing the Ready Rig, using the Nodo Intertia Wheels and getting a chance to play with a whole team of people dedicated to trying and failing and trying again till we all understand what makes this device so incredible.

*details

Lunch will be provided.

The class will take place at CSLA in Atwater Village

Wear closed toe, supportive shoes (I generally use off road trail runners)

The class will run as long as I can run it over a day (generally, that has been around 8 hours of instruction and an hour for lunch).

Contact me for dates, times, price and reserving a place in the class. To reserve your spot, you’ll need to send me the fee. The price will fluctuate depending on resources and facility we do our class, but I am basically volunteering my time for this class. It’s more important to me that as many people take this class as possible and can afford it.

This picture literally doesn’t even make any sense. Don’t even do this.
